Ca la Calma | A light-filled oasis between Cap de Creus and the sea

Ca la Calma is a bright country house at the foot of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, located in Palau-saverdera, known as the "Balcony of L'Empordà". We designed it as a refuge to disconnect, but above all, to connect with nature, combining the tranquility of the mountains with the convenience of being just a 7-minute drive from Roses and the beaches of the Northern Costa Brava.

The garden centers around the pool and the chill-out area, respecting the majesty of the century-old trees that stood here long before us. The house is adjacent to the Font de Dalt, a natural spring whose water flows uninterruptedly even in times of drought, and whose gentle murmur can be heard from the garden.

On the ground floor, large windows merge the outdoor landscape with the warmth of the home. Upon entering, you will find a spacious open-plan area combining the living room with a fireplace, the TV area, and the dining room, visually separated by a beautiful staircase handcrafted by a master cabinetmaker. This floor also features a fully equipped kitchen, a guest restroom, and an independent laundry area, as well as direct access to an outdoor patio with an alfresco dining area.

The first floor hosts the sleeping quarters, comprising 4 bright, exterior-facing bedrooms:

• 1 Master Suite: with a double bed, private bathroom with a shower, and air conditioning.
• 2 flexible double rooms: configurable with either a double bed or two single beds depending on your needs, equipped with ceiling fans.
• 1 single room: where an extra bed can be added.
• 1 full bathroom: with a bathtub.

Three of the bedrooms have direct access to a terrace offering views of the sea and the Montgrí massif.

Every piece of decor has been carefully selected, and some of the furniture has been hand-restored. The linen curtains in the bedrooms have belonged to the family for over 50 years and were lovingly restored by my aunts. The amenities provided in the house are from the Nuxe brand.

To ensure your comfort at any time of the year, the house features air conditioning throughout the ground floor, in the Master Suite, and an additional split unit in the upstairs hallway. The double rooms are also equipped with ceiling fans.

The house is strategically located, serving as the perfect base for various trails to explore the essence of Cap de Creus, particularly leading to the Sant Onofre hermitage and the Sant Pere de Rodes monastery.
